Since the holidays are right around the corner, I have gift giving on my mind for the inspiration of this (re)purposed project from the vintage quilt.
A gift of wine is easy, thoughtful, and appreciated. Giving it in a hand-made bag makes it extra special.
Using two long strips of left over painter’s drop cloth, I top-stitched a strip of patchwork to the front strip, and stitched the across the bottom and up the sides. I boxed the bottom and stitched a hem at the top.
After placing the bottle inside, I tore a strip of the red binding to wrap around the neck and tied a bow.
This bag is large enough to hold a big bottle of wine or possibly two small bottles.
Just in time for the holidays!
Cheers, Faith
