Stars and stripes forever!
This was a very easy sewing project – very little sewing as a matter of fact.
It started with a couple of packages of white bias tape and some fabric leftovers in red/white stripes and blue with white stars. I made a pennant pattern on a piece of cardstock and cut the pennants out with pinking shears. I folded the bias tape over the tops of the pennants, loaded the sewing machine with white thread and stitched each pennant in place.
I hung this banner across the screen porch. As you can see I had more red striped fabric in my stash than blue stars. This will stay up through Labor Day.
I love the summer holidays and celebrating the red, white, and blue.
How about you?
xoxo, Faith
